Motorvate Driving School (Est. 2008) offers structured learning in a friendly environment to students of all levels in East Meath & North Dublin.
Here’s how I got started…
Motorvate Driving School (Est. Sep 2008) is independently owned & run by myself Keith Abbey, RSA ADI Ref No. F35565.
I’m originally from Dublin (Finglas to be precise), but I have settled & built up my business in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
Having completed a driving instructor training programme with I.S.M. in July of 2007, I began my teaching career in a very successful Finglas based driving school (Independent School of Motoring)
My passion for teaching grew stronger every day whilst I was there & it wasn’t long before I realised my true calling was to set up & run my own driving school.
I made that big leap in Sep 2008 & I havn’t looked back since. . . .
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all my “passed” & present pupils, (you all know who you are). Without all your recommendations, none of this would have been possible.
For that I’m eternally grateful.
Don’t forget, Keep spreading the good word !
I.S.M. Certified Driving Instructor.

Essential Driver Training
All new learner drivers who receive their first learner permits on, or after 4th April 2011 will be subject to 12 hours of Essential Driver Training (E.D.T.) before sitting their driving test. On applying for your driver theory test, you should receive an Essential Driver Training booklet. This should provide the student with all relevant information on E.D.T. As an E.D.T. candidate you will also need to contact your local A.D.I. (Approved Driving Instructor). Only a registered A.D.I. can issue you with your Essential Driver Training Logbook. This logbook needs to be filled in & signed off, by your instructor, after every E.D.T. lesson.
