Camp Glamp

Welcome to Camp Glamp!

My name is Clara – a working mother of two, entrepreneur and founder at Camp Glamp. Amongst many other things, I am a seasoned professional in healthcare and quality innovation systems, where I worked for the past 20 years.

Looking after a family while working full-time can make life very busy and demanding. Opportunities for spending time together, recreation and pleasure, require planning and organisation, and holidays are what we all look forward to.

Holidays are such an important and enriching part of a family life. Holidays are a time for families and friends to regroup, reconnect and re-evaluate.

Having friends and relatives dispersed across the globe among Ireland, Spain and Australia, I decided to organise a gathering for everyone in the beautiful picturesque Spanish seaside town Almuñécar, during the summer of 2017. Being half Spanish, I had lived in Spain for 6 years running my own Spanish restaurant, so it was great to go back and re-visit my other homeland and all the gastronomic delights it has to offer.

There I was joined by my parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and some old friends, and where my loved ones and I enjoyed the rare opportunity of being in one place all together at one time.

It was at that moment and time that it occurred me: it wasn’t just the location that made this such a special experience but the carefully planned logistics of finding the right accommodation and conveniences to make this special event happen.

This particular holiday made me reflect on all the holidays my family and I had undertaken in the past, including experiences which were less successful. I came to realise at this point, that there really is an Art to Holidaymaking in terms of getting it right!

After a lot of thought, planning and consideration, I decided to embark on the journey of setting up a lifestyle business where I could not only strike a better work-life balance for my Family and I, but strive to help others to experience a perfect family holiday, by creating a natural space and environment where friends and families can convene for the experience of a lifetime; An experience where memories are created and carried with us for the rest of our lives.

At Camp Glamp, our aim is to eliminate the stress that can come with travelling, ensuring that every need is catered for: all you have to do is relax. We wish your time spent at Camp Glamp becomes your most memorable holiday ever and a possibly a life changing experience.

Looking forward to meeting you all and making new friends and memories…
